Update on my success (that’s me on the left. On January 27th, 2011, Dr. Toman performed surgery to repair my rotator cuff and bisup. Prior to surgery the pain I had was so bad I could not even pour a cup of coffee. Everything I did was difficult and very painful 24/7. The surgery was not an easy task, but well worth the outcome. Dr. Toman you are an excellent surgeon, very compassionate and down to earth, I was not just a number, I was your patient and a person. (The success part)..After my PT was finished in June 2011 I decided to join the gym which I did in the same month to continue to improve my mobility.Thank you Dr. Toman I am now pumping iron (weight lifting) built muscle and lost quite a few pounds. The picture is of me and my daughter. You met my daughter on one of my follow up visits, you shook her hand and said call me Chuck (this is down to earth)and as of today she has never forgotton that. I have come a long way in a short period of time. So glad I had you as my Doctor. Thanks a million Dr. Toman

I was very pleased at the care I recieved from Dr. Toman and his entire staff. DR. Toman performed reversed shoulder surgery after I fell and shattered my shoulder in June 2012. I’ve already got some movement in my shoulder and am recieving physical therpapy. Thank you to the entire staff

Dr. Toman recently performed a knee arthroscopy to repair a torn meniscus. The procedure was scheduled and performed in a timely, proficient manner. Home health care and physical therapy were set up by his office and started the day after surgery. Stitches were removed 5 days following surgery and out-patient physical therapy began at Florida West Coast Physical Therapy, Pine Street, Englewood. Adam Pennell, P.T., D.P.T. was thorough with his evaluation and very patient in answering all my questions. All personnel working with Dr. Toman were extremely professional, patient, and caring. I would recommend anyone needing an orthopedic procedure to contact Dr. Toman.

I was blessed to have been lead in the direction of securing Dr. Charles Toman as my Orthopedic Surgeon. All of the healthcare people that I came in contact with during the surgery and recovery told me how lucky I was to have Dr. Toman as my surgeon. I would like to thank Dr. Toman for the superior job he did in repairing the massive totator cuff tears on my shoulder. (He called it a train wreck). I was only in pain for 3 days after surgery and have experienced no pain since. I have been very dedicated to my physical therapy, which has paid off. My goal is to kayak and fly fish again and I feel that I will reach that goal. He recommended that we remain in Florida for physical therapy with his team of Lawrence and his wife. These therapists are trained to administer therapy as Dr. Toman prescribes and he is able to monitor this. Lawrence and his wife were also excellent therapists. I was happy that I stayed in Florida to obtain the services of his recommended PT team before traveling back to NH. Dr. Toman was extremely compassionate and kind. We actually felt like family when we visited his office. He always took as much time as we needed to answer our questions in depth and provided us with all of the information necessary. Everything was explained thoroughly. Imagine an Orthopedic Surgeon with all of these qualities!!That is Dr. Charles Toman!! I would highly recommend him for any Orthopedic Surgery!

I am 8 weeks post total knee replacement and have already returned to work. All thanks to Dr. Toman and the physical therapy staff I had working with me. Dr. Toman was very thorough in helping me understand the full procedure from pre-op to surgery and recovery. I am so thankful that I chose Dr. Toman to perform my surgery. I had been suffering from arthritis for many years. For a while, it got better then worse, then came the time when it just got progressively worse. My doctor told me “you’ll know when you need to get this taken care of, and when that time comes, I have a great doctor to recommend.” Well in March I finally gave in (I really am a coward …. never had surgery except for tonsils at 5 years old). My primary care doctor recommended Dr. Toman, based on the fact that wife had gone to him for hip surgery in October and by March she was skiing! That was good enough for me. Dr. Toman said my hip was pretty bad and that I needed a total hip replacement. The surgery was easier than I thought it would be. I am now three months and one day past surgery. No cane, no walker, NO MORE PAIN. Next month my husband and I are going to Las Vegas. Thanks, Dr. Toman.

February 28 Dr. Toman replaced my left knee.I cut my grass 3 weeks later and on June 23 I caught this 30 inch Northern Pike in ELY,Min. Thanks to Dr Chuck and PT.

My wife and I have just moved to North Port and we waited to have my knee replaced until the move. The problem was we did not know anyone in the area so we decided to start looking on the Internet. I found Dr. Tomans site and began reading the testimonials of his patients. After reading them I started asking different people that had had this operation and they said he was the best around. I made a appointment and liked him immediately like him and scheduled the operation. He was very good to me and my wife and answered all our question. The operation went as scheduled and had excellent care through him and his excellent staff. He answered all my questions and made sure I was in no pain after the operation. I just finished my 3 month check up and he was still concerned about my well being. I would tell everyone that Dr Toman is a caring and skilled surgeon and would recommend him to everyone who would needs his service.

My two teenagers, Cori and Caleb have had multiple athletic injuries over the four years and I had doubts they could continue with their sports. After searching for a good doctor, we found Dr. Toman and it has been a blessing. Dr.Toman assured us we were in good hands and very much proved it to us. As a Mom, I am more than satisfied with not only the results but the genuine care Dr. Toman has shown over the years. My daughter had a severe ankle injury and has been able to return to competitive cheerleading with his guidance and my son will be playing college football after two shoulder surgeries. It’s rare to find a surgeon who first, has been an athlete himself and understands the will for kids to play sports and also continues to search for answers until he finds the problem.
