What a sweetheart! When my husband and I met with Dr. Toman we knew rigt away that I would have him do my total left knee replacement. He was so easy to talk to and very confident in the knee surgery with the aide of the computer. Family is very important to him which instilled more confidence in him as a person firt and surgeon second. He also has a terrific bedside manner and wonderful assistants. I an greatful to Dr,Toman for the successful efforts he made with my “tennis” elbow. He first tried conservative methods which brought improvement but turned out to be temporary. When surgery was necessary the operation was fully explained to me. It was conducted in a efficient, effective, and professional manner. Dr. Toman removed a bone spur on my right shoulder and repaired a torn rotator cuff. He did a very good job. He later had to go back in an repair a small tear that didn’t heal completely. Could have been from me over working the shoulder. I used him for the second surgery because I knew he was good. Shoulder is now on it’s way to a full recovery. His office helper Coby will make you feel right at home.

Hi All, I had an accident 6 years ago and have been living with a worsening should since. It got to where when I fished I couldn’t pitch lures any longer than 15 mins before it killed me. So my wife found / researched Doc Toman which he then corrected my torn rotator and labrum (which was completely dislodged one side of the joint). I am now 3 months out and have complete range with I’d say 70% ish of my strength back already. I would recommend Doc Toman to any one needing a shoulder corrected. Have a good one Lowell.

Having suffered with bursitis in my hip since the 70’s I found a Dr who would take out the bursa, Dr Toman of Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda.Dr Toman is one of the few Drs that will do this type of an operation. It has relieve my pain. Dr Toman explains what he is going to do, very easy to talk to.I hightly recomend him.

IT WAS VERY OBVIOUS TO MY HUSBAND AND I AT OUR INITIAL MEETING WITH DR TOMAN, THAT HE WAS A VERY WELL EDUCATED AND LEARNED DOCTOR….HE EXUDED AN ALMOST UNCANNY DIAGNOSIS OF MY PROBLEM AFTER ONLY A SHORT INTERVIEW, EXAMINATION OF THE MRI I BROUGHT WITH ME, AND HIS OWN PHYSICAL EXAMINATION OF MY ARM AND SHOULDER..HE WAS ABLE TO TELL ME IN SHORT ORDER, JUST HOW BAD MY CONDITION WAS, AND HOW HE PROPOSED TO REMEDY THE SITUATION..PRIOR TO THE SURGERY HE FULLY EXPLAINED EXACTLY WHAT WOULD BE DONE, THE PROSPECTS AND TIME TABLE FOR FOLLOW UP PHYSICAL THERAPY, AND THE RESULTS I SHOULD EXPECT IF ALL WENT WELL..HE ALSO EXPLAINED THE POSSIBILITIES OF A LESS THAN PERFECT RESULT SCENARIO….THE OPERATION WAS COMPLETED, MY PHYSICAL THERAPY HAS BEEN ALMOST COMPLETED, AND I AM COMPLETELY SATISFIED…..I KNOW FURTHER PERSONAL FOLLOW UP AND STRENGTHENING PRODURES WILL BE NEEDED FOR SOME TIME…I WOULD ENTHUSIASTICALLY REFER DR TOMAN TO ANYONE ELSE WHO I COME INTO CONTACT WITH WHO HAD THE SAME PROBLEM I HAD….ONE FINAL NOTE..HIS BEDSIDE MANNER WAS ALSO VERY GOOD…HIS USE OF THE WORDS OF “DR CHUCK” REFERRING TO HIMSELF FOR HIS PATIENTS WAS A GOOD ICEBREAKER..PAULA CORTE..

Thanks to Dr. Toman and his staff for the terrific job on my total knee replacement. In less than 2 months I’m back to enjoying activities I haven’t been able to do for many months such as sailing on our beautiful harbor and biking around my neighborhood.

In July of 2010 it became necessary for me to have a total left hip replacement. Dr. Toman used the posterior procedure. The surgery was a complete success. My personal recovery was probably ahead of schedule and my left hip is great. In February 2012 I knew I needed my right hip to be replaced. This time Dr. Toman used the anterior procedure. Again, the surgery has been a total success and my personal recovery has been just short of miraculous. Since I am personally able to compare the two procedures, I must say that the anterior method is much, much better for the patient. There are many less post surgical precautionary restrictions using the anterior method. I personally feel that my recovery time will be less than half that of my prior posterior surgery. I consider myself fortunate to have a World Class Orthopedic Surgeon in my home town. I thank you Dr Toman and your entire staff for doing a great job and for your personal care and encouragement. You treated me like family.

Dr. Toman operated on my knee in January of 2011. Before the surgery I hardly could walk but could ride a bike. Now I walk and ride whenever I so desire and feel fine. I ride at least 4 miles a day (weather and schedule permitting) and walk about 2 miles a day. Thank you Dr. Toman for doing such a great job.
